What happens if our wedding DJ gets sick?

You still have a DJ. We keep one on retainer for exactly this, and your must-plays, your never-plays and your timeline go with them — the person changes, the plan doesn’t. It is the reason the Artist Securement pays for a backup rig in the van as well as a backup night.

Before you book

Everything else, in order.

What actually holds our date?
The Artist Securement — $695, in every booking. It holds your date, covers planning meetings with the DJ actually playing your wedding, and puts a backup rig in the van. It also means one wedding per artist per day.
When is the balance due?
Fourteen days before your date. The Artist Securement holds the day when you book; the balance is due two weeks out, so there is nothing left to settle in the final stretch.
Do you only play one wedding a day?
One wedding per artist per day, always. No double-bookings, and nobody tearing down at nine to make a second call.
What time do you arrive?
A two-hour head start, at least. Setup, sound check and a walk of the room happen before your first guest sees the building, not while they are watching.
What do your DJs wear?
Formal attire — and deliberately not your wedding party’s colours. Nobody should look at the booth and wonder whether a groomsman wandered off.
Can our guests request songs?
That is your call, not ours. Some couples want an open floor and every request considered. Some hand us a never-play list and mean it. Tell us which at your planning meeting and we will hold that line all night.
Is lighting included?
Not in the base chapters. Lighting is an add-on called The Room — $775 for uplighting plus your monogram on the wall. It changes your photographs more than it changes the room.
What else can we add to the day?
Five moments, every price published: The Grand Entrance $545 — confetti on your walk-in, cleanup on us. The Room $775. The First Dance $650 — dry ice, your song cut to length. The Send-Off $340 — petals and bubbles. Multimedia Displays $495 — screens, set up by us.
Are your prices before or after tax?
Every published price is before GST. Travel is included from North Vancouver to Hope; beyond that it is $100 an hour, quoted before you book.
Can you cover the ceremony and the reception?
Yes — they are separate chapters and most couples book both. The ceremony gets its own sound system and microphones on your officiant; the reception runs dinner through last dance as one continuous piece of work.
What if we have to move our date?
We will work with you. One thing to know up front: your original DJ may already be booked on the new date, and if they are, we honour that booking first. We will match you with another artist and your planning carries over — but we would rather tell you that now than on the phone.

Pardy DJ Co. is a four-DJ wedding and event DJ company based in Chilliwack, British Columbia, serving from North Vancouver to Hope. Every price is published online: the Artist Securement is $695, a reception-only night starts at $1,440, ceremony to 11 pm is $2,115, and the whole day is $2,445, all before GST. Each artist takes one wedding per date, arrives at least two hours before anything starts, and the balance is due fourteen days before your event.
