How much does a corporate DJ cost in the Fraser Valley?

A corporate DJ costs $250 an hour with a four-hour minimum — $1,000 for a standard event, before tax. A seven-hour holiday party is $1,750. Travel is included from North Vancouver to Hope; beyond that it’s $100 an hour, quoted up front. Multi-zone work — several rooms, several stations, a program with speeches and awards — is scoped and quoted, because it is a different job, not a longer one.

What we do

Three kinds of nights, and one we won’t pretend at.

Holiday and staff parties. Dinner, speeches, then the part where people find out who dances. The floor read in real time, same as a wedding.

Awards galas and fundraisers. Arrival and dinner held at a level people can talk over. Mics for presenters. Cues between segments, so the program doesn’t sag between awards. Then the room turns over and the night actually starts.

Grand openings, product launches, brand activations. Sound that fills a space without shouting at it. Red carpet, step and repeat, the works.

Not conferences. We don’t run AV for a conference and won’t pretend we do. If your day needs a full AV crew, hire one — we’ll work beside them.

A certificate of insurance. A business number. A signed agreement — the same one every couple gets, not a special version for you.

Then the part nobody writes down: a DJ who reads the room he’s actually in, keeps the mic on the program, and never mistakes your event for his set.

How it’s billed

An invoice your finance person will recognize.

Business number on it. Purchase order reference if you need one. Card or transfer — 30% holds the date, the balance is due two weeks before. Nothing about that is unusual, which is the point.

Do you charge travel?
Not between North Vancouver and Hope. We’re based in Chilliwack, so most of the valley is a short drive. Past that stretch it’s $100 an hour, quoted before you book.
Can you handle speeches and awards, not just music?
Yes. Wireless mics, cues between segments, and levels set so a presenter is heard at the back without the front row flinching.
Will you work with our AV company?
Yes, and we’d rather. Tell us who they are and we’ll sort the handoff before the day.
Can you send proof of insurance?
Yes — a certificate, our business number, and the agreement, before you’re asked for them.
How far ahead should we book?
Corporate books further out than most people expect. December parties are commonly booked in February. If your date is a Friday in December, assume the good ones are gone by late summer.
