How a Fraser River Lodge wedding usually runs

This comes from our own notes on Lodge weddings. It is what couples have planned, not the Lodge’s rules. Your coordinator has the final word.

The ceremony

Most couples get married on the lawn just below the hall, less than 100 feet from the reception. If it rains, the ceremony moves inside. If you book the Ceremony chapter, we set up sound on the lawn and have a plan ready for inside.

The reception

Our DJ sets up in the left corner as you walk into the hall. Dinner, speeches and dancing all happen in that one room.

The end of the night

Lodge couples we have played for ended anywhere from 11 pm to 1 am. Ask the Lodge what your date allows, and we plan the night back from it.

What the Lodge asks

The Lodge has told vendors: no confetti, rice, fake petals, glitter, cold sparks, fireworks, fog machines or open flames. A bubble machine is fine. Sparklers and real petals only in set areas. If you are planning a big moment with any of these, check with the Lodge first. We follow their list.

Set-up

The Lodge opens the hall for decorating from 10 am, so we are set and sound-checked long before your guests arrive.

What does a DJ at Fraser River Lodge cost?

If your night ends at 11: ceremony to 11 pm, $2,115. If you go past 11 (many Lodge weddings do): The Whole Day, after-party included, $2,445 · Reception only: $1,440. Agassiz is inside our service area, North Vancouver to Hope, so travel is included.

Where does the DJ set up?
For the reception, in the left corner as you walk into the hall. If you book the Ceremony chapter, we also set up sound on the lawn below.
What if it rains on the ceremony?
The ceremony moves inside, and so does our ceremony sound. We plan for both.
Do you charge travel to Fraser River Lodge?
No. Agassiz is inside our service area, North Vancouver to Hope, so travel is included.
What time does the music end?
Our Lodge couples have ended between 11 pm and 1 am. Check your end time with the Lodge and we will plan the night to it.
Which DJ will play our wedding?
Any of our four artists can. Check your date to see who is free.
